BBC vows to stop playing music by drill rapper TEN 22 hours after we revealed his identity… but is yet to apologise

THE BBC finally vowed to stop playing music by drill rapper TEN — aka Jake Fahri — 22 hours after The Sun told them of his killer past.

However, the corporation has yet to apologise for showcasing the murderer of Jimmy Mizen.

Our reporter contacted the Beeb at 11am on Wednesday to notify them of TEN’s real identity.

We sent lyrics in which Fahri boasts of killing a man and pointed out his music had been on 1Xtra and plugged on the Orbit website.

BBC bosses told us they had not played the violent lyrics but refused to say if they knew who TEN was, or whether they would remove his music.

Only at 9.30am yesterday did they say 1Xtra would stop playing his music, but knew nothing about him and did not condone his actions.

Despite this, The Sun discovered TEN’s song 38Rek was still featured on its BBC Sounds platform. The track was later removed.

It also emerged the BBC seemingly flouted its guidelines that state people seeking anonymity may “have something to hide”.

Tory MP Alicia Kearns said it was “extraordinary” those in balaclavas were not vetted.
