SNACK SINNER MAN

I was shamed by Tesco Clubcard after it revealed embarrassing snack I bought 400 times

Adam claims to have 'sorted' himself out and ditched his out-of-control addiction

A PASTRY lover got a telling off from his wife after their Tesco Clubcard revealed he ate 400 cinnamon swirls last year.

Sweet-toothed Adam Twiselton, 31, kept his habit quiet until the supermarket’s app sent a notification listing the scaffolder’s most-bought products.

The “Unpacked 2024 round-up” revealed he bought 411 of the 315-calorie cinnamon swirls — one every 21 hours — as well as 258 sugar-free Red Bulls and 219 Diet Cokes.

Horrified wife Kirstie received a notification while on a hen-do and sent Adam a message reading: “Are you taking the p***?!”

But Adam reckons his true twirls figure is even higher — as he occasionally buys an icing-topped version from another shop.

Adam, of Northampton, said: “Sometimes I cheat on Tesco and go to Co-op.

I’ve probably had around 500 cinnamon swirls in total, a considerable achievement!

“I mostly eat them for energy on the way to work. It’s manual labour so I burn it off quickly and I feel like I’m a normal weight.”

Adam claims to have “sorted myself out” and ditched the treats this year. He said: “I’ve moved on to cleaner energy. I’m eating porridge.

“My wife wasn’t impressed by my twirls habit, nor was my mum, and I’m too old to be told off because of what I eat so I changed my ways.”
