Donald Trump dances to YMCA with wife Melania and JD Vance at inauguration ball after signing flurry of executive orders

Billionaires, celebs and America's political elite are attending today's inaugural events

DONALD Trump partied with his wife, Melania, at multiple inauguration balls as the duo danced to the YMCA alongside new Vice President JD Vance.

The President celebrated his first day back in the White House with a spree of executive orders that included a string of January 6 pardons.

Jubilant Trump promised a "golden age of America" after being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Monday.

The MAGA man, 78, delivered on many of his promises to voters as he immediately withdrew from the Paris Climate Accords and World Health Organization, and signed to end government censorship of speech.

He arrived to raucous cheers, chants and applause as he entered the Capital One Arena.

Trump signed dozens of orders and directives in what has been dubbed a "shock and awe" effort.

After staging one of the greatest political comebacks ever, Trump today vowed to usher in a "thrilling new era of national success."

And he insisted he was “saved by God to make America great again” after taking the oath of office in front of political elites, celebrities and influential billionaires in the Capitol Rotunda room.

It was the first time in decades the ceremony was held indoors as freezing temperatures grip Washington DC.

Trump said: "From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected. I will very simply put America first."

Following the ceremony, Trump and wife Melania waved outgoing president Joe Biden and wife Jill goodbye as the choppered out of Washington DC.

In a jam-packed day, Trump has enjoyed tea with the Bidens at the White House, his inauguration ceremony, and a luncheon.

There are still three balls set to come after the inauguration parade.

Trump stunned the world as he beat Kamala Harris to retake the White House.

The campaign saw him survive two assassination attempts and repeatedly weather legal storms, many of which Don raged were politically motivated.

  • Rudy Giuliani arrives for the pre-inauguration church service

Rudy Giuliani, Trump's former personal attorney, has arrived at St John's Church in Washington DC.

Three days ago he settled in a defamation case filed against him by two Georgia election workers to the tune of $146million after accusing them of election fraud in 2020.

It was not clear how much of that he would have to pay out - or who paid what was likely an enormous amount of money as part of the settlement.

However it was reported that he was able to hang onto his luxury properties and belongings, including treasured Yankees World Series rings.

  • Elon Musk’s DOGE to be sued within minutes of Trump inauguration

A lawsuit against tech tycoon Musk's incoming government department is set to be filed mere minutes after Trump's inauguration today.

Trump appointed pal Musk to the brand new federal Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to slash budgets and cut costs.

In a filing seen by The Washington Post - law firm National Security Counselors is accusing the department of breaking a law that requires presidential advisory committees to follow rules.

DOGE has already set up base at Musk's SpaceX HQ in Washington DC - drawing up recommendations for where the federal budget can be cut.

The lawsuit claims it hasn't followed certain regulations like keeping regular meeting minutes, letting the public attend, filing certain documents with Congress and so on.

The suit reads: "DOGE is not exempted from FACA’s requirements."

  • In one of his final acts before leaving office later today, President Joe Biden has issued some eleventh hour pardons.

They preemptively cover people who could be targeted by Trump during his second term.

It includes all members of the House Select Committee who investigated the Capital Riots that happened on January 6 2021.

Biden has also pardoned General Mark Milley and Dr. Anthony Fauci, both opponents of Trump.

Trump has previously hinted at targeting his political enemies after returning to power.

He said in a statement early on Monday: "These public servants have served our nation with honor and distinction and do not deserve to be the targets of unjustified and politically motivated prosecutions."
