A "SWEET" six-year-old girl and 36-year-old man have been found dead at a home - with cops launching an urgent probe into their deaths.
The remains were discovered in a property on Harburn Drive in West Calder, Scotland, at around 4pm on January 20.
Emergency crews had raced to the scene following a report to Police Scotland of a concern for a person, discovering the bodies shortly after their arrival.
The force said that the deaths were being treated as unexplained and post mortem examinations would take place in due course.
They also said the pair's relatives were being supported by specialist officers.
A neighbour, who did not wish to be named, told the : "The wee girl was a lovely wee thing and very sweet."

Another resident described the incident as "tragic", saying: "The house was dark and the curtains were closed most of the time.
“I think they wanted to keep themselves to themselves."
Police had locked down the area as the house was taped off and forensics officers descended on the street.
A large blue forensic tent was erected in the garden of the home as officers were pictured guarding the property.

The cordon was also extended to cover a section of a car park at around 5.30pm on Monday evening.
Chief Inspector Elaine McArthur-Kerr, local area commander, added: "We understand this incident may be very upsetting and worrying for the people living in this community and would ask anyone with any concerns to speak to us.
"A police presence will remain in the area while we carry out investigations and anyone with any concerns, or information, can approach these officers."
Locals have told how they have been unable to access parts of the scheme after it was sealed off by police.
One resident told they had noticed firefighters forcefully entering the property at around 4pm, and were drawn to the scene after hearing police sirens.
They said they saw the house, back garden, and part of the street taped off by police.
'SERIOUS' INCIDENT
The resident believes fire crews had to break down a door in the "serious" incident.
It is understood the family had recently moved into the street.
A large police presence has surrounded the home, near to Parkhead Primary School, today.

A spokesperson for the local authority told : "Other than its proximity to the reported incident, we have reassured parents and pupils that this incident has no connection to Parkhead Primary School".
When asked whether other school pupils were being supported, they said: "We will take all appropriate action once further details are provided to us."
