Elite US Navy Seal squad that killed Osama bin Laden ‘is training up in South Korea to take out Kim Jong-un’
Seal Team Six has been taking part in drills in South Korea as tensions with Kim's regime mount, according to reports
THE crack US Navy Seal team that killed Osama bin Laden is reportedly training to take out North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-un.
Seal Team Six is taking part in secretive drills alongside other elite US forces in South Korea amid rising tensions with Pyongyang, .
US military officials confirmed “ground, air, naval and special operations” are taking part in “several joint and combined field training operations” which involve up to 17,000 troops.
And South Korean newspaper JoongAng Daily has claimed the teams would take part in a drill to simulate the removal of Kim Jong-un.
But US officials denied the elite troopers are preparing a raid to take out Kim.

Asked about drills, Former US Navy Commander Gary Ross said: “There are variety of Special Operations Forces (SOF) participating in Foal Eagle, as they do in most regional exercises.”
“Foal Eagle is a regularly-scheduled, annual exercise that is the culmination of many months of planning and it is not being conducted in response to the current situation on peninsula.”
The special operations teams are thought to also include the Army Rangers, Delta Force and Green Berets.
The training started one day after US deployed its state-of-the-art THAAD missile defence system to the region.
It comes as tensions between Pyongyang and Washington reach boiling point.
A state-run North Korean newspaper yesterday warned the US it had nukes trained on the US mainland.
An article in Rodong Sinmun read: “Our revolutionary strong army is keenly watching every move by enemy elements with our nuclear sight focused on the U.S. invasionary bases.
“Not only in South Korea and the Pacific operation theatre but also in the U.S. mainland.”
The words of warning from Pyongyang came hours after Trump said Kim’s regime was “doing the wrong thing” by threatening to nuke the United States.
Trump authorised the sending of a fearsome naval battle group led by aircraft carrier USS Vinson to the Korean Peninsula.
The President added he “didn’t know” if the North Korean dictator is mentally fit as he boasted of having a “very powerful” military while talking up the power of the US “armada”.

He told Fox News: “I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know him. But he’s doing the wrong thing.
“We are sending an armada. Very powerful. We have submarines.
“Very powerful. Far more powerful than the aircraft carrier, that I can tell you.
“And we have the best military people on earth. And I will say this: He is doing the wrong thing.”
Alongside the SAS, Seal Team Six is considered the world’s most elite fighting force.
They famously launched the helicopter raid on Osama bin Laden’s Pakistan compound in 2011.
After being dropped into the Abbottabad complex they killed the al-Qaeda leader, removed his body and made away with thousands of documents relating to the terror group’s activities.
None of the Navy Seals who took part in the daring raid were injured.
