ARMED AND DANGEROUS

Kim Jong-Un shows off ‘highly trained’ Special Forces troops armed with grenade-launchers and brags they will ‘thrust a sword through the enemy’s heart’

The menacing show of force comes after the country threatened "all out war" with US

NORTH Korea's new Special Forces unit was unveiled for the first time in a huge parade as an apparent show of strength against Donald Trump.

Dictator Kim Jong Un's threatening and "highly trained" troops shouted patriotic slogans and carried rifles fitted with grenade launchers as they marched through the streets of Pyongyang on Saturday.

Special Forces officers wore menacing camouflage cream on their faces and black sunglasses.

The elite force had night vision goggles affixed to their helmets and handguns strapped to their chest and are said to be the best-equipped soldiers in the Korean People's Army.

A broadcaster said on state TV: "Once Supreme Commander Kim Jong-un issues an order they will charge with resolve to thrust a sword through the enemy's heart like lightning over Mount Paektu [the country's highest peak]."

It comes as Kim Jong-un's foreign minister threatened "all out war" if the US takes military action against Pyongyang, as North Korea vowed to test missiles WEEKLY.

The parade marked the annual public holiday the Day Of The Sun and also fell on the 105th anniversary of North Korea's late founder Kim Il-sun.

It came amid rising tensions with the United States and President Trump, who has refused to rule out a pre-emptive strike if Kim reaches for the nuclear button.

Yesterday a North Korean defector claimed special forces were being trained to snatch Western tourists from South Korea and use them as hostages if the US attacks.

what the regime planned in the event of war.

He said: "We would sneak into the South, change our clothing, go into areas where there are lots of foreigners and capture some of them.

Kim Jong-Un enraged the US by staging yet another missile test — but the launch was an embarrassing flop.

South Korea’s military reported the attempt near the Sinpo region, the same area from which the North tested a ballistic missile last month.

US officials said the missile exploded on launch but they don’t know exactly what type of weapon it was.

The incident is likely to escalate the rising tensions between the US and North Korea over Pyongyang’s rogue nuclear weapons ambitions.

North Korea has tested a long-range rocket and conducted two nuclear tests last year, including its most powerful to date, as well as carrying out a slew of shorter range missile firings.

A smirking Kim Jong-Un watched a fervent military parade just hours after telling America: “We’re ready for war.”

Chief among the devastating arsenal on show during the parade was a KN-08 rocket, thought to be capable of flying more than 7,000miles – within range of Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC.

US military experts reacted with shock to the display, as one admitted “we’re floored right now”.

Shell-shocked North Korean experts admit the secretive nation now appears far more advanced than previously thought.

Dave Schmerler, a research associate at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in California, told The Wall Street Journal: “We’re totally floored right now. I was not expecting to see this many new missile designs.”

Also on display was the similarly devastating KN-14 rocket.
