Birds Eye ridiculed on Twitter by food fans and Rag’n’Bone Man for picture of pretentious fish finger sandwich
The recipe includes black olives, jalapenos and lettuce on brown seeded toast
BIRDS Eye have caused outrage after sharing a picture of a fish finger sandwich with olives, jalapenos and lettuce - on toasted brown bread.
The photo has been mercilessly mocked and branded a "nightmare", a "crime scene" and an "apocalypse of a sandwich" by appalled social media users including singer-songwriter Rag'n'Bone Man.
Tweeting the picture, writer Harry Harris wrote: "Nobody who works at Birds Eye has ever, *ever* made a fishfinger sandwich."
But the controversial recipe - which uses gluten-free fishfingers - was actually created by food blogger Honest Mum.
