Russian woman ‘was executed by her boyfriend after his other lover told him: It’s me or her’
Anna Repkina, 27, from Moscow, was found dead on a remote logging road in Benton County, Oregon
A RUSSIAN woman who was found shot dead "execution-style" in the US was involved in a "love-triangle relationship" with the man arrested for her murder.
Anna Alekseyevna Repkina, 27, was found on a remote logging road near Alsea, a Benton County town in Oregon, on April 17.
Ms Repkina who was from Moscow, is believed to have moved to Corvallis, Oregon in March.
William Chase Hargrove, 27, has been charged with her murder and is being held without bail in Benton County.
Prosecutors believe that Hargrove shot her in the back of the head in an abandoned Oregon wood.
Senior Deputy District Attorney Amie Matusko told The Associated Press, Ms Repkina was in a "love triangle" with Hargrove and another woman, who has not been named.
They were believed to have been living at separate locations and Hargrove spent time with both of them.
The other woman, who was in a long-term relationship with Hargrove, “gave him an ultimatum: It was either her or the other, and he made a decision."
Matusko said: “He took the victim out on a rather desolate logging road, and she was found shot in the back of the head, execution-style.”
Hargrove’s attorney, Mike Flinn, declined to comment.
