A FOOTIE-goer savagely beaten by fellow Spurs supporters who mistook him for a Chelsea fan said: “I didn’t have time to tell them I was Tottenham.”
Michael Voller, 23, was left with a fractured skull after Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final.
His eye socket, cheekbone and jaw were also smashed.
A mob ambushed him as he left Wembley after Spurs lost to Chelsea 4-2.
The lifelong fan, of Enfield, North London, used to work as a gardener at Tottenham’s training ground.
His dad Chris said he could have died after being 'mistaken for a Chelsea supporter'.
Chris has now spoken out to slam the attacker who made a “big mistake” by assaulting “one of their own”.
Chris told the : "It takes someone rotten to do something like this.
"The mindless thug needs to be caught before it happens to someone else.”
Chris also told reporters: "We could have lost him on Saturday night, they were very worried when he was brought in."
Michael was punched in the face by the yobs outside the Moore Spice Restaurant at around 7.30pm.
He faces gruelling surgery and docs fear he could have permanent damage to his eyesight after the brutal attack.
Chris said Michael had just returned from a once-in-a-lifetime trip travelling round Eastern Asia.
Before the match, Chelsea fans were filmed singing vile anti-Semitic songs outside a London pub.
Shocking video shows hundreds of men singing racist songs about Spurs, which is often said to have a large Jewish fan base.
In 2015 Chelsea fans were filmed pushing a black commuter off a Metro train in Paris.

Officers released pictures of Michael's horrific injuries and are appealing for help identifying the suspect.
He is described as a white man in his early 20s and approximately 5ft 10in.
He was wearing a black hooded top or jacket.
Detective Constable James Robb, of Brent CID, said: "This was a violent and unprovoked assault that has left a young man with some terrible injuries that could end up affecting him for the rest of his life."
