Former Miss England’s rocket scientist brother is hoping to follow in her footsteps and be named MR England
Jack Heslewood, 25, says he and big sis Kirsty must be the "most attractive brother and sister in the country"
THE BROTHER of stunning Miss England 2013 is hoping to follow in her footsteps and be crowned Mr England later this year.
Scientist Jack Heslewood, 25, of Bishop's Stortford, Herts, hopes to win the nationwide competition at the final on July 14 after he was crowned Mr Hertfordshire last weekend.
The digital media boss, who has a degree in aerospace engineering, said he was hoping to join his sister Kirsty in winning the national competition, after she was crowned Miss England in 2013.
Kirsty, 28, came sixth in the Miss World pageant - which was won by Megan Young of the Philippines - and is now a model for brands such as Victoria's Secret.
Jack, the youngest of three children to Kerry and John, insisted the pageant wasn't just a "beauty contest" and said contestants had to have brains as well.
But he admitted that he and his big sis must be the "most attractive brother and sister in the country".
He said: "They are ignorant when they say it’s (just) a beauty contest.
“It’s only people who have never actually seen any of the competitions. If people come and watch it and engage in some way, it would educate them.”
He said he was keen to follow in his older sister's footsteps and that he had witnessed the glitz and glamour that accompanies the show.

He said: "I’ve witnessed it the last few years - I saw what it was doing for the lives of the contestants, the positive things that were happening and the opportunities they have, win or not.
“They were coming out really confident in themselves. It empowers them.”
Jack appeared on the ITV dating show Meet The Parents, hosted by Holly Willoughby, in which singletons fire questions at three separate parents last year.
If he wins the Mr England title in July he will be in next year's Mr World competition.
Jack said he was "taking advice" from his sister, who has told him to "have fun and enjoy it".
