‘Rich Kids of Instagram’ festival backed by Bella Hadid is CANCELLED as revellers paying up to £10,000 are left ‘stranded with feral dogs and rat s***’
The festival's organisers, which includes rapper Ja Rule, have blamed the calamitous start to the event on 'growing pains'
A LUXURY music festival which is charging guests up to £10,000 a ticket has been CANCELLED leaving revellers stranded in a disaster zone overrun with feral dogs and heaps of rubbish.
The exclusive Fyre Festival in Exumas, Bahamas, whose organisers include rapper Ja Rule, was backed by a host of supermodels and billed as a "cultural moment created from an alchemic blend of music, art, and food".
But after guests were met with “disaster zone relief tents” instead of "eco-friendly, geodesic domes" and cheese sandwiches in place of "chef-curated culinary pop ups", infuriated music fans are demanding refunds.
Festival goers took to social media to blast the event which has been branded “rich kids of Instagram meets Lord of the Flies”.
Some guests spent the night in the unfinished site which was overrun with feral dogs and covered in rat dropping and litter.
One customer William Finley posted a video featuring a group of dismayed revellers slamming the event as a “complete disaster”.

He wrote: “Mass chaos. No organisation. No one knows where to go. There are no villas, just a disaster tent city.”
The first sign of the problems at Fyre occurred when headliners Blink 182 pulled out of the festival on Thursday ahead of the opening weekend.
The band posted on Twitter: “We’re not confident that we would have what we need to give you the quality of performances we always give fans.”
Finley, a writer based in Raleigh, North Carolina, told Billboard that he paid £2,000 for an “artist pass” – but he didn’t stay on the island long enough use it.
He said: "They're basically disaster relief tents, with a mattress on some sort of bed frame.
"They're not that uncomfortable but the tents are so poorly made that they'd blow over in a second if there was any wind or rain."
Customers, including Finley, sought the next bus out of the venue, arriving at Exumas airport to await the next flight Stateside.
Many revellers are demanding a refund and claim they have been stranded at the airport after opting to return home having visited the calamitous festival.
All flights to the island have reportedly been cancelled.
Top supermodels including Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin, were hired to promote the troubled event and are featured on the festival’s website.
Fyre's organisers released a statement via their Instagram account confirming the event has been cancelled and promising refunds to customers.
The statement read: "Fyre Festival set out to provide a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience on the islands of Exuma.
"Due to circumstances beyond our control, we must postpone this experience.
"We are working tirelessly to ensure each guest leaves the island safely and ask for everyone’s patience and cooperation as we continue to provide ongoing updates via email and our official social media channels as they become available, including refund information.
Earlier, the festival bosses blamed "growing pains" for the inaugural event's implosion.
“Thank you for bearing with us as we work through the growing pains that every first year event experiences," the statement read.
