M25 closed as three cars crash sparking huge blaze �?with drivers stuck in hour-long tailbacks

THE M25 has been shut after three cars crashed sparking a huge fire - with drivers stuck in hour-long tailbacks.
The incident took place between Junction 13 for the A30 (Staines) and Junction 12 (M3) causing long queues all the way to Heathrow Airport.
Emergency services were called to the scene at just after 2pm this afternoon to reports of a car on fire.
Surrey Fire and Rescue service has since confirmed that three vehicles were involved in a crash with two caught up in the blaze.
Drivers have been warned of delays of up to an hour and a half on the M25 anti-clockwise between between Junction 13 and 12 as emergency services tend to the scene.
National Highways have reported traffic extending over five miles with delays made worse by the routine congestion expected at that time of day.

A spokesperson from the Surrey Fire and Rescue service said: "We received a call this afternoon around 2:05pm to a report of a vehicle fire on the M25 between Junction 14 to 13, Staines to Egham.
"Four fire engines were sent, arriving at the scene around 2:15pm. Three vehicles had been involved in a collision with two of the vehicles alight. Crews remain at the scene tackling the fire.�?/p>
This comes as the A3, which is used by thousands every day and connects to the M25 is due to shut in both directions at 9pm today in Surrey.
Drivers will be unable to use the stretch between the M25 Junction 10 and A3 Wisley interchange due to road works.

The closure will remain in place until 6am on Monday - sparking chaos for drivers in the Milford and Wisley area.
Junction 13 to Junction 14 at Heathrow will also be affected - spelling potential havoc for those catching flights over the weekend.
Drivers have been advised to take diversion routes provided by .
The works come as part of plans to reduce delays around Junction 10 - the most crowded section of the motorway.
A statement on Surrey County Council's website reads: "Junction 10 is the busiest section of the M25, with over 270,000 vehicles travelling through it every day.
"Due to the volume of traffic and the resulting queues, this area of their network has a very poor safety record and holds one of the highest collision rates across the National Highways network.
"Their improvements will reduce delays, smooth traffic flow and create safer journeys for all."
