Easter Monday travel carnage as ‘ALL trains cancelled’ from Paddington due to major fault with 100s stranded

HUNDREDS of passengers have been left stranded after travel chaos at Paddington Station on Easter Monday.
All trains at the busy travel hub have been cancelled due to signalling issue.
The only available route West is to Heathrow Airport at the time of writing.
Pictures show stranded travellers stuck with suitcases and bags at the busy train station.
The chaos comes as many arrive back from their Bank Holiday breaks on Easter Monday.
Great Western Railway are laying on shuttle buses to Reading from Maidenhead, it is understood.

However, other passengers have reported a lack of communication and alternatives.
One person wrote on social media: "Stuck on the train for 3 hours between Paddington and Reading no information whatsoever!
"Now waiting even longer to see if the train will even be running!"
Another posted: "Paddington Station is a fine mess today. No trains running and no alternatives offered.

"Elizabeth Line is running one train an hour to Reading and no overhead trains at all.
"Both GWE and Elizabeth Line use overhead power lines. Makes no sense."
Trains from London Paddington to Reading trains have been cancelled.
There are also currently no services running from Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads.
Services from Reading to Newbury and Basingstoke services have also been axed.
Plymouth-bound passengers travelling via Taunton from Paddington are stuck.
And those heading to Cheltenham Spa from Paddington via Swindon are also facing huge delays.
Hereford trips from Paddington via Oxford and Cardiff Central trains from Paddington via Bristol Parkway are also not running.
Meanwhile, services between Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central are facing alterations.
In a separate issue, South Western Railway (SWR) trains were delayed due to trespasser.
GWR wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Due to a fault with the signalling system fewer trains are able to run.
"Train services between London Paddington and Reading may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
