Explosive new biography reveals Barack Obama partied on cocaine, had ‘passionate’ student romps and even considered gay relationship with uni professor
New tell-all book reveals the US President was still seeing an ex before dating future First Lady Michelle
A FORMER lover of Barack Obama slept with him on their first date, wrote him a saucy poem about their lovemaking and claims he partied on cocaine with his buddies, a new book claims.
The former US president even considered having a gay relationship with his professor, according to author David Garrow.
Genevieve Cook met the ex-president at a New Year's Eve party in 1983 while he worked for a financial analysis company after graduating from Columbia University. He was 22 and she was 25.
He bedded her on their first two weeks after meeting. The revelations are contained in Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama, which was written by Pulitzer-prize winning biographer David Garrow and will be published later this month.
Ms Cook, an Australian and daughter of a diplomat, grew up travelling throughout the world, just like Obama.

In a private memoir she wrote: 'The thing that connected us is that we both came from nowhere – we really didn't belong."
She also recalled the dinner date at the apartment he shared with two others.
She said: "We went and talked in his bedroom. And then I spent the night. It all felt very inevitable."
Cook was so impressed with his lovemaking she wrote him a poem including the line: "B. That's for you.
"F's for all the f***ing that we do."
She told the author, "Sexually he really wasn't very imaginative but he was comfortable.
"He was no kind of shrinking 'can't handle it, this is invasive' or 'I'm timid' in any way - he was quite earthy."
Genevieve also said they would smoke pot at parties. She claimed he would take cocaine with friends Hasan Chandoo, Imad Hussain and Sohale Siddiqi at Occidental College, Los Angeles, but nowhere near as much as the others.
Australian Genevieve said: "For every five lines that somebody did, he would have done half."
Obama has admitted trying the drug in his teens, but not in his 20s.
The book also details his close relationship with openly gay assistant professor Lawrence Goldyn.
It says: "Obama wrote somewhat elusively to his first intimate girlfriend that he had thought about and considered gayness but ultimately decided that a same-sex relationship would be less challenging and demanding than developing one with the opposite sex."
The pair developed "a friendship beyond the classroom", the author claims, adding: "Goldyn made a huge impact on Barry Obama."
Rising Star also tells the story of Sheila Miyoshi Jager, who Obama reportedly proposed to twice before he met Michelle.
Jager, now 53 and the associate professor and director of the East Asian programme at Oberlin College in Ohio, said she "felt bad" because they were still seeing each other for the first year of his relationship with future First Lady Michelle.
Obama has not responded to the claims.
