Inmate has throat slashed ‘by gang’ in same jail where terrorist Hashem Abedi stabbed prison officers

AN INMATE has had his throat slashed at the same prison where terrorist Hashem Abedi stabbed at three guards.
John Henry Sayers, 61, was reportedly targeted last week by Muslim inmates at HMP Frankland, Co Durham.
A source claimed the attack was them “sending a signal that they control the prison”.
He was attacked in his cell on April 30.
A source said: “It’s been like a tinderbox since Abedi’s attack — and staff are terrified.”
Abedi, who is serving 55 years for helping his Manchester Arena suicide bomber brother Salman, stabbed and scalded three warders in a kitchen on April 12.
We told last week how lags — said to be mainly Muslims — used weights to attack other inmates at a gym in Frankland.
Of the Sayers attack, Durham Police said: “The victim was taken to hospital and has recovered.”
The Prison Service said police are investigating.
