Dramatic GoPro footage shows Brit skier plunging 60ft through glacier into a crevasse

Mountain rescue teams were called to help Brit Jamie Mullner after his frightening fall in the Swiss Alps

THIS is the astonishing moment a British skier suddenly plunges 60ft down a huge hidden crevasse in the Swiss Alps.

GoPro footage captures Jamie Mullner falling through the massive crack in a glacier and describing his “scary” ordeal in near darkness.

With his GoPro Jamie records his experience trapped in the crevasse while he waits to be rescued

The clip shows how Jamie, from Bearsted, Kent, is aware of one particular dangerous crevasse in the distance before he begins his descent at an area, believed to be Saas Fee in Switzerland.

But he’s caught out by another hidden gap in the ice.

He plunges to the bottom of a crevasse with his head camera capturing every second.

When Jamie remembers his GoPro camera would have recorded the fall, he declares: “How epic is that!”

The trapped skier tells a friend on his radio: “I’m quite far down. I’m okay, I’m just going to need quite a lot of help to get out. That was scary.”

His pal swears when Jamie reveals how far he has fallen.

“I think I should just hang the skis up to be honest,” Jamie replies.

Since the video was posted on  by GoPro yesterday, it has clocked up more than 110,000 views.

Bizarre footage showed a daredevil skier reach speeds of 60 miles per hour by using a JETPACK on the slopes, while a snowboarder filmed himself heading down the ice while drinking a beer.
