Paul Gascoigne says he’s winning his booze battle and won’t let down his fans again
PAUL Gascoigne has said he is winning his booze battle and won’t let down his fans again.
The England hero said there will be no more hiding after pulling out of his public shows last year.
The 49-year-old did his first comeback event on Thursday night.
The former Tottenham and Rangers ace said: “Sorry I missed a few shows due to my alcoholism.
“I really regret it, but now I'm back, back on form.
“It was my fault. It’s always been my fault.
“It’s quite easy for me to sit in doors, turn the light off, turn my phone off, turn the TV off and hide.
“No more hiding now. I'm so sorry.
“Every venue I will be there, I promise you. I'm back.”
