Oxford student Lavinia Woodward dubbed too brainy for jail after stabbing boyfriend in cocaine-fuelled rage set to be expelled from prestigious university
THE Oxford student dubbed too brainy to be jailed for stabbing her lover during a cocaine-fuelled rage could be expelled as her college says there is "no guarantee of a return".
Lavinia Woodward, 24, a medical student at Christ Church, last week admitted punching her boyfriend in the face, cutting him in the leg with a bread knife and throwing a laptop at him.
The Sunday Times reports her Oxford College, Christ Church, said there was"no guarantee of a return" after a judge hinted she may escape jail.
A spokesman said the suggestion she would be able to return to her degree "were the judge's not the colleges's" and added "The context is obviously extremely serious".
The student was reportedly already being regularly tested for drugs at the college after she was warned in September last year more drug taking would result in expulsion.
Aspiring heart surgeon Lavinia Woodward, 24, had reportedly taken to posting nude snaps of herself online after becoming hooked on drugs.
A former school friend said: “After she went to Oxford she turned weird. She became all dark and gothic and it was obvious she was into drugs.
