Three Girls’ Rochdale grooming beast who forced underage girls into sex in his taxi is living off benefits and regularly visits wife and kids who live near TWO schools

A VILE Rochdale child groomer who forced underage girls into having sex in his taxi is living off benefits and regularly visits his wife and kids who live near TWO schools.

Qari Abdul Rauf, 46, was released after serving half of his six-year sentence for exploiting girls in the town and is now back living in the area.

Neighbours say the dad-of-five - who wears a baseball cap to disguise himself from angry locals - either walks or drives to see his family, who live on a quiet street between a junior and a senior school.

The shocked resident said: “No one could believe it when he first popped up. I know he is entitled to see his kids but you would think that he’d arrange to see them away from the road.

“There are loads of kids around here and two schools and he sometimes walks. Everyone knows who he is and we’ve all pointed him out to our children.

“He also still lives in Rochdale – where the people he abused are trying to get on with their lives. I don’t know how he has the front to be still in the town.”

And the sick sex beast is using taxpayers' money to fight an extradition order to send him home to Pakistan.

Tensions are running high in the town following the BBC three-part drama about the grooming scandal called Three Girls.

The former taxi driver was jailed in 2012 for trafficking and conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child.

In court, Rauf admitted he had sex with an underage girl in his taxi.

Another girl told the jury she had sex with him between 20 and 30 times.

Rauf is one of four men from the child sex abuse gang continuing to battle against being deported to Pakistan five years after being ordered out of Britain.

But cops say they are monitoring his movements as he is still on license from his jail sentence having served half of his six-year term.

The resident added: “He’s picking up cash from the state when he should be back in his homeland.

"He revoked his right to still be classed as a British citizen when he committed those offences.

“We all paying for his food, his car and the clothes on his back. It is madness.

"I know this to be the case because I spoke to an police officer involved in the case and he just shook his head in dismay at the madness of the situation.”

Officers visited the street on Friday and assured neighbours Rauf was allowed occasional visits to his family but was not allowed to stay there.

A police spokesman said: “Anyone who has served time is subject to license. All we can do is monitor conditions.”

Gang leader Shabir Ahmed along with Rauf, Adil Khan and Abdul Aziz are taking their fight to the Court of Appeal to avoid being booted out following their convictions.

Their costly Legal Aid fund is being bankrolled by the taxpayer.

The Court of Appeal has granted permission for them to contest their deportation to Pakistan, but a date for the hearing has not yet been set.

A Home Office spokesman said: “All four men have been granted permission to appeal at the Court of Appeal and it would be inappropriate to comment further on ongoing legal proceedings.”
