Donald Trump reveals Theresa May was ‘very angry’ after Manchester bomb investigation leaks to US media
US President said the PM gave him the ‘full details’ after a series of damaging disclosures about the attack
DONALD Trump has revealed Theresa May was "very angry" about key information about the Manchester bomb investigation were leaked to the US media
The President said on Twitter the Prime Minister gave him the “full details” after a series of damaging disclosures about the attack appeared in American outlets.
It comes after Mrs May had said Mr Trump acknowledged the leaks were "unacceptable" when she challenged him about them at the NATO summit this week.
Mr Trump tweeted this afternoon: "British Prime Minister May was very angry that the info the UK gave to US about Manchester was leaked. Gave me full details!"
The PM had raised the issue with him after they both attended meetings in Brussels on Thursday after British police temporarily suspended sharing information with counterparts across the Atlantic.
She said Scotland Yard had since received assurances from the FBI and had resumed intelligence-sharing.
At a press conference at the G7 summit in Sicily on Friday, Mrs May said: "Yes, I did raise the issue of leaks of information that have been shared by the police with the FBI with President Trump.
“He has made clear that that was unacceptable."

The US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson also said he "regrets" the series of leaks about the Manchester Arena attack, in which 22 people were brutally killed.
He flew into London for talks with Boris Johnson and in a joint press conference with the Foreign Secretary, said: "We take full responsibility for that, and we obviously regret that that happened."
The leaks had seen US broadcasters get hold of the number of victims and the method of attack before it was released by UK police.
And the name of the man behind the shocking murders -22-year-old Salman Abedi – was revealed by American publications well before it was briefed to British outlets.
That prompted the Home Secretary to say how annoying she had found it, and revealing she had rebuked the US security services.
Amber Rudd said: “I have been very clear with our friends that that should not happen again.”
But within hours extraordinary photographs from the scene of the bloody attack were published by the New York Times, prompting yet more consternation from the British government and police.
President Trump’s tweet came as he arrived back in American from a nine-day overseas trip, where he visited the Middle East and Europe, ending with the G7 summit.
Earlier this afternoon Mr Trump went on one of his regular rants against the media, tweeting: “It is my opinion that many of the leaks coming out of the White House are fabricated lies made up by the #FakeNews media.”
He went on to say: “Whenever you see the words 'sources say' in the fake news media, and they don't mention names it is very possible that those sources don't exist but are made up by fake news writers. #FakeNews is the enemy!”
It comes after his son-in-law Jared Kushner was reported to be under investigation over his contacts with Russia amid allegations he had discussed setting up a secret communications channel with the Kremlin.
