A REMOTE riverside cottage with unspoilt views has gone on sale for £1.5million after spending 75 years in the same family.
The idyllic home, called Dinah's Side in the village of Dittisham in Devon, sits on the River Dart and comes with five acres of land including one-third of a mile of private foreshore and a mooring.
The house has been in the same ownership since the 1940s but the family have now decided to sell it and let a new generation of adventurers enjoy it.
The property has 1,617sq ft of accommodation with a sitting room, dining room, kitchen, conservatory, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms.
There is also a lodge with a workshop and store room on the ground floor and artist's studio on the top floor.
It has a historical Grade II listed Lime Kiln attached.
In order to access the property, people have to cross a bridge over the creek and go down a track.

The property is on the edge of the sought-after village of Dittisham, one of the most attractive and unspoilt villages in Devon, which has a sailing club.
Sarah-Jane Chick, from estate agents Savills, said: "It's not very often you get a location like this that comes on the market.
"The house has been in the same family since about 1942 and not very much has changed in the time they have had it, although it has been extended.
"It needs some updating now but equally you could do not very much and still have a lovely home.
"There is also a workshop and studio that was built around a Grade II listed lime kiln, it would make the most fantastic wine cellar, it's just all a bit quirky.
Sarah added: "The family bought the foreshore on the opposite side of the creek when it came up for sale because they wanted the privacy so the buyer would own the foreshore on both sides for about a third of a mile.
"It is like something straight out of Swallows and Amazons, this is what they used to write about in children's books.
"It's the most beautiful spot, you really don't get a location better than this - the woods are lovely, at low tide you've got a beach, you can moor your boat and row round to the village.
"Dittisham itself is a hugely popular village and for such a little village it has a lot going for it - two pubs, a waterside bistro, a shop, it has its own regatta."
