Theresa May on course to win General Election ‘by 60 seats’ despite Labour narrowing lead
ICM poll reveals Labour have whittled away the lead but the Tories are still 11 points clear
THERESA May is on course to return to Downing Street with a 60-seat majority, a poll reveals today.
She has seen her party’s lead whittled away by Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour but the Tories are still 11 points clear, according to the exclusive ICM poll for The Sun on Sunday.
The gap between the two parties has dwindled on an almost daily basis and is half what it was last month.
It is a far cry from the start of the campaign, when forecasts of a landslide 152-seat majority were the norm.
But Mr Corbyn appears to have failed to convince voters with enough speed or in enough numbers to threaten Mrs May’s safe return.

Our poll puts the Tories on 45 per cent, down one from last week, and Labour up two to 34 per cent.
The Lib Dems are at nine, Ukip on five, Greens three and SNP four.
Tory party workers will flood marginal seats as they go all out in the remaining four days of the campaign to woo the waverers.
ICM boss Martin Boon said: “A lot of polls showing a much narrower gap depend on whether you think young people and 2015 non-voters will actually turn out to vote on this occasion.
“Our model implies that we don’t think they will.”
