A 32-YEAR-old man has been left in a coma after being slashed in the face in the London Bridge terror attack that also left his girlfriend injured.
Oliver Dowling and his girlfriend Marie Bondeville are being treated in hospital after the savage rampage that left seven dead and 48 injured.
His sister revealed Oliver, from Christchurch, New Zealand, was stabbed in the face, neck and stomach but has since recovered after a four-hour long surgery.
She wrote on Facebook: "Doctors are very happy with how he's come out the other side.
"A massive thank to the University of London Hospital for their tireless efforts in helping my brother out!!"

Rowley confirmed that one officer was stabbed and seriously wounded by the extremists but his injuries are not life threatening.
It has since been confirmed that the British Transport police officer was stabbed in the face.
Met police have confirmed that the attacks in London Bridge and Borough Market were "terror incidents."
The London Ambulance Service has confirmed that 48 people have been taken to hospital after suffering injuries.
