Mother crushed and scarred for life after pushing baby out of the path of a runaway car

A MUM may be scarred for life after she pushed her baby out of the path of a runaway car and was crushed against a bench.
Lindsey Kesteven, 31, dived in front of the out-of-control Peugeot 306 as it careered towards her one-year-old son Chase’s buggy in a car park.
The tot escaped with bruises, but Lindsey has had two ops on her legs and may need skin grafts.
Husband Craig, 34, had to open the driver’s door and force the car into reverse to free his wife in Hove, East Sussex.
Police are investigating why the car’s 83-year-old driver failed to stop.

Craig said: "The car was flat out, it revved up out of nowhere.
"I held my hand up to protect us and Lindsey managed to push Chase, who was in the buggy, away.
"It looks like she'll be scarred for life.
"If that had been a child they wouldn't have survived."
A Tesco spokesman said: "We are saddened to hear about this accident and send our best wishes to those who were involved."
