ISIS supporters use Finsbury Park mosque attack to make twisted call for more atrocities against the West

SICK ISIS supporters have used the terror attack at a Finsbury Park mosque to call for more atrocities against the West.

Twisted messages allegedly sent between pro-ISIS supporters appeared on Twitter, calling on fanatics to "wake up" to "the war starting now in your own streets".

The texts, , were sent to a WhatsApp group with 225 members in the aftermath of the suspected revenge terror attack, where a van ploughed into Muslim worshippers in the early hours of Monday morning.

The twisted rant, sent from a group called 'War news/ Ummah [community] news' questioned why the attacker had not been shot by police like the killers behind the London Bridge attack earlier this month.

It said: "Oh Muslimeen when your brothers took revenge on the crusader nationals for the slaughter they are carrying out on the Muslims, they were shot on site by the the British Police.

"Then how come the Police never shot a Kaafir [non-believer]."

It then called on group members to take action, saying: "Oh Muslims you need to wake up the war is starting now in your own streets outside your own Masajids.

"Your elders could be killed, your sisters could be attacked."

At least one worshipper was killed and another 10 injured shortly before 1am outside Muslim Welfare House in Finsbury Park, north London.

Police confirmed they are treating the incident as a terror attack but are keeping an "open mind" about the motive.

A local resident said: “I saw at least two people on the floor not moving.”

Mohammed Kozbar, who is chairman of nearby Finsbury Park mosque, told The Sun last night: “Whoever did this, he did it to hurt people and it’s a terrorist attack.

“We call it a terrorist attack as we called it in Manchester, Westminster and London Bridge.

“The van drove over people who were leaving late prayers. They were gathering in Seven Sisters Road.

“I heard there are fatalities but I don’t want to jump to conclusions.

“My concern now is the casualties who have been affected."

Armed police were scrambled to the scene as casualties were pictured strewn across the road and pavement.

The driver was reportedly tackled to the ground by bystanders and detained before being arrested when police arrived.

Kozbar also said he had heard there "might" have been two other attackers who had run off.

The Muslim Council of Britain confirmed that worshippers had been targeted in the attack.

A message on the council's Twitter feed read: "We have been informed that a van has run over worshippers as they left #FinsburyPark mosque.

"Our prayers are with the victims."

In an interview with Sky News, she said: "I was trying to sleep when I heard a lot of noise outside.

"I saw many people shouting, taking over half of Seven Sisters Road, I thought that something bad has happened."

Prime Minister Theresa May has described the attack on worshippers near Finsbury Park mosque as a "terrible incident", adding: "All my thoughts are with those who have been injured, their loved ones and the emergency services on the scene."

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who lives yards from the horrifying scene, said he was "totally shocked" by the incident.

He tweeted: "I've been in touch with the mosques, police and Islington council regarding the incident.

"My thoughts are with those and the community affected by this awful event.";
