Shoppers watch in disbelief as one of the girls is slammed to the floor before being kicked by the other outside the bargain shop in Nottingham.

Another shopper is shown holding one of the women back to calm her down in the dramatic clip.

One onlooker who saw the incident said one of the shoppers was "shouting loads of abuse" at the other.

She told Sun Online: "I was surprised that it was happening that loud and at that time of day. It was embarrassing really."

It has been claimed the brawl was sparked by a row over fidget spinners, but the witness told The Sun that wasn't the case.

The dramatic clip has racked up 145,000 views since being shared online.

A Poundland spokeswoman said: "We don’t know why these women were arguing – if it was over our fidget spinners, there’s no need, we’ve got loads of them.

"We called the police at the time and have had no further involvement."

But a Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said the force had no record of the incident being reported.

It comes after shoppers mocked the chain for making an embarrassing grammatical error on one of its products.

The store has also launched a wedding range for brides on a budget - including everything from bouquets to invitations all priced at £1.
