Michael Buble’s sister-in-law trolls hairdresser on Instagram over ‘rip-off’ £385 bill to cut her mum’s ‘short hair’
Daniela Lopilato shared a pic of her mum's receipt from her visit to the salon in their native Buenos Aires, Argentina
SINGER Michael Buble’s sister-in-law has trolled a fancy hairdresser over their “rip-off” £385 bill for her mum - but they insisted she was warned what she wanted would be expensive.
Dietician Daniela Lopilato published an Instagram pic of the receipt mum Beatriz was given after her visit to the salon in their native Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Denouncing upmarket crimpers Leo Paparella in the residential neighbourhood of Villa Urquiza as “fraudsters”, she raged in a message posted next to the itemised till receipt: “Look at this rip-off.
“What they did to my mum in Leo Paparella hairdressers in Villa Urquiza.
“Real daylight robbery, especially because she’s got short hair.”

The bill Daniela posted shows she was charged 5700 Argentinian pesos (£274) for highlights and 180 pesos (£8.65) for a wash – amounts that might seem cheap at some top London salons but are obviously considered high in Argentina.
Leo Paparella, which has a string of salons in the Argentinian capital and the outskirts of Buenos Aires, insisted today to local media the charge was correct.
A spokesman for the hair salon told one Buenos Aires news website Daniela’s mum had been given four different hair bleaches as well as highlights.
They insisted the proper breakdown didn’t appear on the itemised bill because the cash machine was old.
Claiming her mum had paid the bill without protest because she didn’t want problems, she added: “I’ve never gone public like this with a complaint but in this case I’m not going to let it go.
“I went twice to speak to the manager or owner and they say what they charged was correct.
“I went to several other hairdressers to ask what the most they could charge you for highlights, bleaching etc would be and no-one got anywhere near this figure.
“The problem is not paying what should be paid if that’s what it costs. What’s happened here is fraud.”
Daniela’s post about the celeb crimpers has already received nearly 3,000 likes.
Michael’s sister-in-law appeared so angry at her mum’s treatment she even got into an Instagram debate with followers.
When asked by one why Beatriz did not leave before she had her hair done after she was informed of the cost, she said: “Who says they told her before what they were going to charge?
“Do you know the number of messages I’ve received from people about the prices they charge at that hair salon?”
The spokesman for Leo Paparella was quoted as saying: “She had reddish hair and wanted to be blonde, whatever it took.
“She said she wanted blonde even though it burnt her hair. Therefore we offered her the best products and warned her it would be expensive. She went ahead anyway.”
Leo Paparella insists on his website: “Leo Paparella and his professional staff commit themselves to the future and constantly work focused on excellence.
“Important celebrities such as Charlton Heston, Catherine Denueve and Ivana Trump among others have visited the salons.”
Leo opened his first salon with siblings Pino and Lina in the upmarket Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Recoleta in 1970.
The Leo Paparella website now lists ten salons in the Argentinian capital alone, with others on the outskirts of the city as well as in the province of Buenos Aires including the Atlantic holiday resort of Mar de Plata.
Daniela was a rock for her actress sister Luisana and her singer husband after their three-year-old son Noah fell sick with cancer.
She gave hope to millions after revealing to an Argentinian TV journalist in February that "the cancer has gone” after Noah Buble underwent chemotherapy and an op to remove a cancerous tumour in the States before returning to Buenos Aires with his doting parents.
