Theresa May promotes string of Brexiteers to aides to ministers in order to shore up her authority
No10 have promoted prominent Leave campaigners to the Parliamentary Private Secretary posts
THERESA MAY has promoted a slew of Brexiteers to the lowest rung of the ministerial ladder in a bid to shore up her authority, The Sun can reveal.
Reshuffling the Parliamentary Private Secretaries - who act as unpaid aides to Ministers - No10 have promoted prominent Leave campaigners.
Yet the embattled PM has made a rising star Remainer - Seema Kennedy - her personal hand.
The Lancashire MP will share the role with Mrs May’s current PPS George Hollingbery in a bid to branch out to younger MPs.
However Brexit-backing Bournemouth MP Conor Burns will work for Boris Johnson at the Foreign Office and Spelthorne MP Kwasi Kwarteng - who also voted out last year - has been appointed PPS to the Chancellor.
Leaver Gareth Johnson will be PPS to David Davis at the Brexit Department.
Brexit supporting Nus Ghani will be a PPS at the Home Office, while Tom Pursglove and Mike Wood will 'bag carry' at the Trade Department.

But Remain-backing MP Kevin Hollinrake will work for arch-Brexiteer Michael Gove at the Environment Department, and Remain-voting James Heappey will be PPS to Brexit-backing Chris Grayling.
Pro-Remain MP Robert Jenrick will be a PPS to Home Secretary Amber Rudd with Edward Argar serving Tory Party chairman Sir Patrick McLoughlin.
Brexit backing Mims Davies will be a PPS to Sajid Javid at the Communities department.
The Chief Whip will address all the new Parliamentary Private Secretaries - nicknamed bag carriers in Westminster - at a meeting tomorrow morning.
But a Tory source told The Sun: "It's the march of the Brexiteers, but a core the PM's core team is still very Remain heavy - from the First Secretary of State Damian Green, Chief of Staff Gavin Barwell and now both of her bag-carriers."
