ADELE fans were left fuming last night after claiming major sound problems at a huge London gig made it "impossible" to hear her properly.
Music-lovers stormed out of Wembley Stadium in protest and said poor acoustics ruined the Brit megastar's performance.
Some are demanding refunds on tickets - which at their cheapest cost £50 - after complaining that their night out was ruined.
Andrew Wood, 57, told The Sun: "The sound system was absolutely rubbish. It ruined what should have been a fantastic evening."
The commercial manager from Great Dunmow, Essex, spent £350 on four tickets and travel for his wife Vanessa, his daughter and her pal.
But they realised soon into the gig that something was wrong with the sound.
He said: "There was a piece at the start of the gig about raising money for charity but we couldn't make out a word of it".
Things only got worse, as Adele began her gig by interacting with the crowd.
The dad said: "There was so much echo, it was impossible to hear her speak or sing. You could hear every note from the instrument echo about two or three times, meaning the songs sounded like gibberish.
"Adele didn't seem to realise there was a problem — but thousands of people began just pouring out of there.
"By the end we were surrounded by empty seats."
He said he complained to stadium staff and asked if they could move to empty seats towards the stage to hear better, but they were slapped down.
Mr Wood said: "We're trying to get a refund from the ticket seller Songkick but I'm not holding out much hope.
"We got an apology on twitter from Wembley but have heard nothing since.
"I want my money back".
Adele implied she might never tour again in an emotional hand-written note buried inside the concert programme.
She told fans at the stadium gig: "As of Monday morning I am solely a mum. That’s all I’m going to be doing."
Mark Turner, 59, travelled to the gig from Harpenden, Herts., with wife Yvonne.
But they were forced to leave after an hour because of the "unlistenable" sound quality.
Sales director Mark, who paid £100 for each ticket, said: "The sound was absolutely appalling.
"It was echoing around the place, it was very, very bassy.
"I saw lots of people leaving. I was really annoyed."
He is also planning to demand a refund, adding: "I saw her last year at the O2 and she was absolutely superb.
"Surely professional sound engineers could do a far better job?
While the stadium is owned by the FA, the concert was put on by promoter ITB.
The Sun has contacted ITB and Adele's representatives for a comment.
Furious fans shared their disappointment with the gig on social media.
Twitter user Julie said: "Just been to Wembley seats at top sound was awful. Echos. Couldn't here what you was singing. So disappointed. Had to leave."
Karen Mackenzie also shared a clip of the singer performing Someone Like You - in which echoes are clearly audible - and wrote: "#Adele so disappointed the sound engineers let you down @wembleystadium tonight the whole performance ruined."
Adele is due to perform at the venue again tonight, Saturday and Sunday as she finishes a 15-month tour of her third album 25.
