Donald Trump warns of ‘severe consequences’ for Kim Jong-un’s ‘very bad behaviour’ after North Korea’s nuke missile launch

DONALD Trump has today sensationally warned he is considering “some pretty severe things" while discussing what action to take against nuke-wielding North Korea.

The US President, who was speaking in Poland ahead of the G20 summit in Germany, said Kim Jong-un was "behaving in a very, very dangerous manner."

On Tuesday, the North Korean leader fired his country’s first Intercontinental Ballistic Missile which is a long range rocket capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

Speaking alongside Polish President Andrzej Duda, Trump hinted that the US is considering military action against despot Kim’s maniacal regime.

He said: “It's a shame they're behaving this way - they're behaving in a very very dangerous manner and something will have to be done about it.”

When asked about taking action, Trump said: “As far as North Korea is concerned, I don't know, we will see what happens.

“I have some pretty severe things that we are thinking about. That doesn't mean we are going to do it. I don't draw red lines."

This comes as the US warned it is ready to use “considerable military forces” in order to stop Kim's nukes after North Korea’s missile launch.

US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, told the meeting that North Korea’s actions were “quickly closing off the possibility of a diplomatic solution” and the US was prepared to defend itself and its allies.

She added: “One of our capabilities lies with our considerable military forces. We will use them if we must, but we prefer not to have to go in that direction.”

Elsewhere, Australia will join military action against North Korea if the rogue nation fires a nuclear warhead at the US.

Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, put pressure on China to step in and “stop this madness”, .

He said: “No one should ever go too far in testing the resolve of the United States of America.

"If North Korea was to deliver a warhead into the United States of America then the ANZUS alliance would be called in.”
