Dad who reported daughter shooting herself in the head arrested after cops find him covered in blood
Ronald McMullen called the cops from home to report the apparent suicide but was found covered in blood, police have said
THE dad of a woman who was shot in the face has been arrested over her murder - after he initially told police she had killed herself.
Ronald McMullen called the cops from home to report the apparent suicide but was found covered in blood, police have said.
The 43-year-old claimed his 22-year-old daughter had shot herself but now faces murder charges.
When police rushed to the family's Oklahoma home on June 29, officers decided Kailee McMullen's death was suspicious.
“When you listen to the 911 call, the father states that she shot herself,” said Norman Police spokesperson Sarah Jensen.
Police said that Mr McMullen attempted to wipe blood off of himself as officers had to “physically restrain him from doing so several times.”
Officers were able to take photos of him for evidence, before he got on the ground and covered himself in dirt.
According to a search warrant affidavit, the young woman’s body and the gun used were moved after she died.
