The Tory MP became a web star after the birth of his baby son Sixtus
ECCENTRIC Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg has shown off his expanded brood after the birth of his sixth child.
The backbencher, who has gained online fame thanks to his old-fashioned image, posed with his wife, their daughter and five sons.
He then posted the family photograph on Instagram, where it quickly gained thousands of likes from his fans.
Mr Rees-Mogg said: "Thank you so much for the almost overwhelming number of kind messages, Helena and I are deeply grateful.
"Thanks also to Mr Keith Duncan and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for the safe delivery of all six."
The MP for North East Somerset posed for the picture with his wife, Helena Anne Beatrix Wentworth Fitzwilliam de Chair.
He was dressed in a suit and tie - as were two of his sons, nine-year-old Peter and five-year-old Anselm.
His daughter Mary was wearing a gingham dress, but sons Thomas and Alfred were allowed to wear a T-shirt and shorts for the family snap.
Last week, a photograph of Mr Rees-Mogg with his newborn son Sixtus went viral online.
He has previously spoken of his desire to have enough children to make up a full cricket team.
The MP, a devout Catholic who enjoys attending Latin mass, has named most of his children after medieval saints.
He is a keen Brexiteer who has repeatedly pushed Parliament to respect historical traditions.
Tomorrow, Mr Rees-Mogg - a former fund manager - will find out if he is elected chairman of the Commons' powerful Treasury select committee.
