THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge could barely contain their giggles as they popped on a set of virtual reality goggles on a state visit to Poland.

Kate beamed as her husband slipped on the futuristic headgear this afternoon during a visit to the Heart Business Incubator in Warsaw.

The glasses were designed to give the wearer a virtual reality view of the Polish capital.

Her Royal Highness was also introduced to a robot made by the company Proton.

Earlier Princess Charlotte gave an adorable wave as she landed in Poland for a state visit with Wills and Kate while mischievous older brother Prince George looked like he'd rather be elsewhere.

The cute youngsters' faces had been pressed up against one of their private plane's circular windows as they arrived alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for a five-day tour - with Charlotte seeming to take it all in her stride.

The tots looked awed as they walked down the red carpet and past heavily armed officials, Charlotte in her mum's arms and George holding his dad's hand.

The pre-Brexit trip, taken at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, has been seen as a chance for a charm offensive with EU nations as negotiations get underway.

But already all eyes are on three-year-old George aged two-year-old Charlotte, who are expected to attend only one or two of the royal engagements.

George - who turns four on Saturday - stepped from the plane in blue shorts and a checked shirt, while his younger sister wore an adorable floral dress.

The office of the Polish president was also focused on the youngest royals tweeting pictures of a tipi and climbing frames waiting for the tots.

Royal watchers also got a glimpse of Kate's new haircut dubbed the "Kob", or Kate bob, which she debuted during a visit to Wimbledon last week.

The Duchess was wearing  a stunning white outfit by Alexander McQueen.

Before the family set off a Kensington Palace spokesman has said: ''The Duke and Duchess are very much looking forward to this tour and are delighted with the exciting and varied programme that has been put together for it.

''They have decided that their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will travel with them and we expect the children to be seen on at least a couple of occasions over the course of the week."

William and Kate's five-day trip will begin with a welcome from President Andrzej Duda in the Polish capital, followed by a visit to the Warsaw Rising Museum, dedicated to the 1944 Polish uprising and end with a Queen's birthday garden party.

During their five-day tour William and Kate will also meet survivors of the Holocaust and Nazi oppression as well as visiting the former Stutthof concentration camp and Berlin's Holocaust museum and memorial.

They will also tour the site of Gdansk's shipyards, the birthplace of Poland's Solidarity movement, which helped topple Communist rule.
