Mourners stunned as hearse arrives at funeral with floral tribute reading ‘C***’… and relatives also had word printed on T-shirts
One mourner said: 'I was mortified. That was also my aunt’s favourite word, but we’d never put it on her funeral car'
MOURNERS were stunned as a hearse arrived at a funeral with a floral tribute reading “C***”.
Relatives of the deceased also wore T-shirts bearing the swearword — apparently an affectionate nickname for the person who died.
But other families paying respects to their dead were left in disbelief.
One mourner said: “I was mortified. That was also my aunt’s favourite word, but we’d never put it on her funeral car.”
Mortlake Crematorium in Richmond, South West London, did not comment.
But a worker said: “They were allowed in, but told to get rid of the flowers straight after.
"Leaving them wouldn’t have been appropriate.”
