Outrage over ‘women-only’ parking spaces that are LARGER than normal and painted with HIGH HEELS and pink lines
Bosses at Moscow Airport claim the controversial bays are to accommodate mothers arriving with their children
AIRPORT bosses have been branded SEXIST after creating a number of "women only" car parking spaces which are larger and coloured pink.
The controversial bays have high-heeled shoes painted on the concrete surface to show they are intended only for female drivers at Moscow Airport in Russia.
The spaces are larger than normal, helping women to get in and out, as well as extra space for loading and unloading.
Beleaguered bosses at the travel hub claim the larger bays are to accommodate mothers transporting children through the airport.
But the move has sparked criticism from sceptics who claim it is a "massively sexist and outdated" proposal.
Irina Izotova, organiser of the FemFest in the Russian capital slammed the airport.

She said: "Highlighting this parking area might create a feeling of a so-called reservation for female drivers".
She added that in "this day and age" men are also responsible for the care of their own children.
And social media users lined up to have their say on the plans.
One wrote: "Oh my, this is happiness, now I can finally stop making my brain work too hard while looking for a car park.”
While another added: "Are you out of your mind?! Sexism and segregation, year 2017… Bravo!"
Airport chiefs have confirmed they will consider scrapping the controversial pink spaces.
