Walker left stunned after discovering giant jellyfish washed up on Cornwall beach

THIS is the moment a walker discovered a giant jellyfish washed up on a Cornish beach.
The find has sparked fears of a summer invasion, the Mail Online reports.
The jellyfish was filmed on the sand at Watergate bay in Cornwall on Friday.
Tony Fisher uploaded the video from Newquay yesterday showing its huge tentacles.
In the video a man can be seen kicking it over revealing the other side of the jellyfish.
In July 2016 thousands of jellyfish were washed up on a Perranporth beach in Cornwall.
And in April last year huge “barrel” jellyfish were snapped floating in the waters of Cornwall by a paddleboarder.
Ben Spicer took pictures of the alien-looking sea creatures while out on his board near Port Gaverne.
Speaking then The Marine Conservation Society told the Mirror the rise in jellyfish numbers around the British coast “can no longer be ignored”.
Dr Peter Richardson said: “Our national survey suggests significant recent rises in the numbers of some jellyfish species in UK seas, most notably the barrel jellyfish.
“The million-dollar question is why this is happening? At the moment we just don’t know.”
Last August swimmer Joey Auger was spearfishing off Smugglers Cove at Portreath, Cornwall, when he found himself surrounded by hundreds of compass jellyfish.
