THIS is the dramatic moment a man lost his THUMB during a vicious street brawl.
Horrified onlookers watched the sickening fight unfold outside a Ladbrokes store in Inverness at around 1.30pm on Thursday.
Dramatic footage shows one man emerging from the fight with blood gushing from his right hand.
An eyewitness can be heard yelling "he's chomped his finger off" in disbelief.
It is understood the digit became detached from the man's hand during the incident.
A source told The Sun Online: "They were fighting round the corner and then it started again outside the bookies.
"I don't think anyone wanted to try and stop it because of all the blood.
"It definitely didn't look like the other guy was carrying a weapon or anything."
Paramedics rushed to the scene and took one man in his 30s to hospital for treatment.
Two men and two women have since been arrested over incident.
Detective Inspector Alex Chisholm said: “We’ve had a number of calls from members of the public offering information in relation to this incident and I would like to thank them for their assistance.
“We do not require any further witnesses at this stage but we are extremely grateful for the help provided so far.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said:"We received a call at 2.07pm on Thursday to attend an incident on Church Street in Inverness.
"We dispatched one ambulance to the scene.
“One male patient in his thirties was taken to Raigmore Hospital.”
