YouTube star Zoella slammed by fans after she posts a ‘jokey gif’ of Bill Cosby on Twitter – but then deletes it
YOUTUBE star Zoella has today been slammed by her fans after she posted a “jokey gif” of Bill Cosby on Twitter – before swiftly deleting it.
The blogger wrote to fellow internet star Tanya Burr, praising her “pink illuminating powder” using a picture of the former US TV star.
But she quickly deleted her post after a wave of criticism for using the image of Cosby who has been accused of sexual assault.
@carltontekira wrote: “@Zoella @TanyaBurr okay but really? bill cosby?”
@ellaclarke_ said: “@Zoella @TanyaBurr yes bill cosby is the best way to sell your products??”
One fan added: “Delete this girl .”
Zoella quickly responded writing: “Thanks for letting me know about that GIF guys, I wasn’t aware of him. Maybe twitter should remove that from the “makeup” drop down…”
Last month a judge in the Cosby sexual assault case declared a mistrial after the jury said it was “hopelessly deadlocked”.
Cosby was accused of incapacitating Andrea Constand with blue pills and then molesting her while she drifted in and out of consciousness at his Philadelphia mansion in 2004.
Dozens of women had raised similar claims against the star, a famous face on American television during the 1980s.
