Westminster knifeman tasered near to spot where PC Keith Palmer was killed was on a ‘death by cop’ mission, court hears

Eniola Mustafa Aminu admitted carrying a nine-inch kitchen knife before being tasered by armed officers

A knifeman tasered just yards from where Parliamentary PC Keith Palmer was killed by a jihadist was on a “death by cop” suicide mission, a court heard yesterday.

Eniola Mustafa Aminu, 27, admitted carrying a nine-inch knife at Westminster’s Carriage Gates entrance on June 16.

Neil Allan, defending, told Westminster magistrates Aminu, of Greenwich, had mental health issues.

But he added: “This was not a political act.

"He simply wanted to die and wanted police officers to shoot him.”.

Aminu will be sentenced on September 19.
