Missing tot Ben Needham’s mum Kerry hints cops have fresh evidence as she shares new heartbreaking plea for information
BEN Needham’s mum has hinted that police searching for her missing son have received fresh evidence following a worldwide appeal last month.
Kerry Needham spoke out on the 26-year anniversary of her toddler son’s disappearance, urging anyone with information as to the whereabouts of his body is to come forward.
The mum-of-two, who was staying on the Greek island of Kos with Ben when he vanished, has now confirmed detectives are busy working on potential new leads.
Taking to the official Help Find Ben Needham Facebook page, Kerry wrote: “Although things may seem quiet, there's still lots going on behind the scenes in the search to find Ben.”
She then asked followers to share a picture of her son, which was captioned in his own and heartbreaking words from beyond the grave.
It read: “My name is Ben Needham, I disappeared 24th July 1991.
“I was 21 months old when I was involved in an accident on Kos Island, Greece.
“My family are still trying to find me so they can take me home.

“They need me, I need them. Please tell someone where I am.”
Ben disappeared on 24 July 1991, just three months shy of his second birthday.
Detectives from Yorkshire Police travelled to Kos and renewed their search for Ben last September, following claims that digger driver Konstantinos Barkas - known as Dino - may have been responsible.
After excavating the site where Ben was last seen, it was confirmed officers had found 93 objects of interest, including a red toy car belonging to the tot.
Kerry was later seen collapsing in tears as she and family members visited the spot where it is feared he was killed.
Last month, 26 years to the day that Ben vanished, it was confirmed human blood had been found on the toy car, along with a sandal belonging to the toddler.
As the discovery was made public, Kerry said: “This confirms everything the police have suspected. It makes it all a little too real. We believe what they believe.”
Branding Ben’s death a “cover up”, she added: “It shows more of a conspiracy because they didn’t find Ben’s body.
“That proves it to me without doubt they obviously moved him and buried him and for whatever reason dug him up. There’s no other explanation.
“It’s all been a massive cover-up.”
In Kerry’s latest Facebook appeal, she has urged anyone with information about Ben to contact South Yorkshire Police.
