KEEPING UP WITH THE KHANS

Amir Khan faces knockout divorce bill with pregnant wife Faryal Makhdoom set for HALF of his £30million fortune – a day after she cropped him out of Instagram snaps

The boxer, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, has accumulated a whopping amount of cash during his career - but he's set to lose a huge chunk

AMIR Khan could be forced to hand over half of his £30million boxing fortune to estranged wife Faryal Makhdoom when they divorce, a top lawyer has claimed.

The knockout blow comes just a day after she cropped him out of an Instagram snap as the pair's bitter break-up continues.

Faryal shared the snub online as she blasted the boxing ace for ignoring her baby bombshell last week.

She posted the old snap, missing her husband, along with a quote: "No matter how educated, talented, rich or cool you believe you are, how you treat people ultimately tells all. Integrity is everything."

She later added: "What do you know about loyalty?"

Now boxer Amir, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, is facing a "50/50 split" of the whopping estate he has accumulated during his illustrious career.

Khan has reportedly pocketed £9million alone from his most recent fight with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

But after saying on social media he would divorce Faryal Makhdoom, the boxer is preparing for a different kind of fight than he's used to.

Boasting £700,000 worth of flash cars, a £1.6million mansion, a fight purse nearing £20million over his career and major paydays from broadcasters during his media appearances, Khan's wealth is thought to be in the region of £30million.

He also runs a property empire, with investments across the north west, and heads a boxing promotions company.

However at least half of this cash is now up for grabs, with a divorce battle just around the corner.

Solicitor Harold Walker, speaking to the  said Khan is set to lose out on at least half his fortune.

He claimed: “The starting point will be a 50/50 division of all assets.

“Faryal will do very well.”

Weeks after Khan announced the divorce on Twitter, she posted online: “Blessed with baby No2 in my tummy.”

She's also told pals since the announcement: “I don’t need his help.”

A source added: “Faryal’s announcement came as a shock to everyone involved but she doesn’t want anything more from Amir now.

“They’re back on speaking terms, trying to keep everything civilised for the sake of their daughter and extended families, but the relationship is finished.

“She has told him she will happily bring up their new child without his support, and the divorce is going ahead.

“She’s a strong woman — and the pregnancy isn’t going to change that.”
