A HELPLESS bystander is shot in the head by a stray bullet that falls from the sky in shocking CCTV footage.
He is seen walked up to greet a pal through his car window before suddenly slumping over and collapsing.
Believed to have been filmed in Iraq, the shocking video was posted online on Friday and has already been viewed more than 50,000 times.
It shows what appears to be a group of friends gathering in the street before a car drives into the frame.
A man begins walking towards the car and leans down through the passenger window.
Suddenly his head jolts down and he collapses to the ground — allegedly after being hit from a bullet that had been fired into the sky streets away.
The nearby crowd quickly rush to help and the driver leaps from his motor.
But it is believed the man died from his injuries, according to text attached to the grim footage.
Civilians have easy access to guns in war-torn Iraq, and it is a common celebration among militias or criminals to fire bullets into the air.
