Wayne Rooney begs wife Coleen not to walk away from their marriage after drink-driving arrest and ‘is desperate for it to work’
WORRIED Wayne Rooney has begged wife Coleen: “Please don’t walk out. I’m desperate for our marriage to work.”
His plea came as she refused to take their three boys to watch him play for Everton yesterday.
Pregnant Coleen, 31, is said to have deliberately given her husband the cold shoulder by avoiding the home clash with Spurs.
It meant sons Kai, seven, Klay, four and Kit, one, missed seeing their dad booked in a 3-0 defeat.
Rooney, 31, is said to have been “upset and feeling alone all week” since his drink-drive arrest on a night out with party girl Laura Simpson, 29.
A source said: “Wayne has pleaded his innocence of doing anything with Laura and told Coleen he will do anything to keep the family together.
“He has told her that she and the kids are his world.
“But it has been very tense all week and Coleen has been making it clear she hasn’t decided whether to forgive him.”
She was spotted without her wedding ring on Friday.
Rooney insists he was only trying to “help out Laura” by driving her home.
But Laura has said “we would have ended up shagging” and talked of how Rooney ogled her chest during their night out.
She has denied kissing the ex-England captain, but admitted to The Sun on Sunday that the pair were driving back to her house when they were stopped by police.
He took to the wheel of Laura’s VW Beetle after going out with mates including ex-United star Wes Brown.
Rooney, due in court on September 18, has vowed to cut down on nights out if Coleen gives him another chance.

Meanwhile Laura’s sister has branded her a “f****** disgrace” for refusing to let her see her niece.
Eden Simpson, 22, says the family have to contact Laura though a PR man despite living a few doors away in Irlam, Gtr Manchester.
Eden fumed on Facebook: “No1 can contact Laura not even to see how Lola (Laura’s daughter) is.
“F*** off laura you live on the same street you d**khead.”
Family pals fear the divide is becoming too big to mend.
One said: “Eden thinks Laura is milking her 15 minutes of fame.
“She saw Laura on the street the other day and shouted to get her attention but Laura just called her an ‘insignificant d**khead’. Nobody knows when the bad blood will end.”
