Cops make seventh arrest in connection with Parsons Green bucket bomb attack
A SEVENTH man has today been arrested by police investigating the bucket bomb attack at Parsons Green.
The 20-year-old was held after cops swooped on a half-way house for asylum seekers in Cardiff, Wales, at dawn.
He has been taken to a South London police station where he is being questioned.
Neighbours told how the large terraced house in the Roath area of the city was sealed off when a fleet of police vehicles arrived.
Barber Joseph Case said: "I saw four Jeeps and a few vans pull up and officers get into the house.
"I saw them bring a guy out - he was in his twenties, dark Middle-Eastern appearance and about 6ft tall in a blue jumper.
"I've seen him around a lot in the last few months. It is used for asylum seekers and there are groups of maybe 10 to 15 people turning up at the house at a time. A lot of them are wearing Islamic dress.
"I saw this guy arguing with his landlord about rubbish being dumped outside. He was angry and he shouted: "Get out of the house."
Other neighbours in the Victorian street told how the rented house is used by asylum seekers.
One said: "It is very worrying. This is a decent area but a lot of houses have become flats over the years."
His is the fourth arrest to have been made in Wales.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "A seventh person has been arrested by detectives investigating the Parsons Green terrorist attack.
"A 20-year old man was arrested at an address in Cardiff at approximately 06:00hrs this morning, Monday, 25 September, under section 41 of the Terrorism Act.
"He has been taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
"The arrests were carried out by officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, supported by colleagues from the Welsh Extremism and Counter Terrorism Unit (WECTU) and South Wales Police.
"Officers are also carrying out a search at an address in Cardiff.
"So far, seven people have been arrested as part of the investigation being carried out by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command; one person has been charged in relation to the attack, three people remain in police custody and three people have been released with no further action."
It was alleged the bomb suspect put knives, nails and glass in the device in a bit to cause horrific injuries.
He is said to have left the bucket bomb wrapped in a Lidl bag on a District line train and got off a stop before it exploded earlier this month.
The Iraqi national bought ingredients online, including from Amazon, to make the explosive TATP, known as Mother of Satan, it is claimed.
Hassan is understood to have expressed anger towards Tony Blair and have entered the country illegally in 2015 and put into foster care.
He is alleged to have built the device at his home in Sunbury, Surrey, but it failed to properly detonate because it was poorly made.
Thirty people were injured in the blast on the packed District Line tube train.
