Does Meghan Markle’s shirt choice point to marriage with Prince Harry?
THEY only had eyes for each other as the loved-up couple enjoyed their first public engagement together at the Invictus Games.
And now it looks like besotted Prince Harry and girlfriend Meghan Markle may have dropped the biggest hint yet that they're about to get hitched.
Beaming Meghan wore her smile with a £137 'Husband' shirt designed by friend to the event.
It has left many of the actress's fans hoping that the white button-down blouse was a deliberate sign of her intentions towards the Prince.
The happy couple were snapped at the Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada, yesterday at their first public outing.
Not shying away from public displays of affection, Prince Harry couldn't keep the smile off his face as he clasped Meghan's hand in front of onlookers.
And the pair finally got to sit together after the royal joined Melania Trump yesterday for the start of the tournament.
And Prince Harry made the most of being able to spend time with his girlfriend, whispering in her ear and joking with the actress as they cheered on a match of wheelchair tennis.
The couple appeared to enjoy the sports match, clapping along with the audience, while even chatting to other spectators sitting behind them.
Meghan glowed as she chatted to the prince, with the couple's happy show of affection doing nothing to dissuade rumours of an impending engagement.
It is one of the first times the couple has been seen in public together with Meghan making her first public appearance as royal girlfriend when she proudly watched Prince Harry playing polo in Berkshire on May 6.
The Suits actress revealed in September that the couple were "in love", telling Vanity Fair: "I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell — but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.
“This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story."
Prince Harry has remained tight-lipped over the romance - but if his wide grin is anything to go by, the 33-year-old is besotted.
Friends and family of the couple are hopeful they will soon tie the knot, with Meghan's brother Thomas Markle Jr even saying Harry needs to "get on" with proposing to his TV star sister.
Speaking to the , the 51-year-old of Grants Pass, Oregon said: "I hope Prince Harry proposes. She's a hot commodity right now - he better get on it."
The couple have been dating since last year after being introduced by mutual friends.
But it wasn't until November that Kensington Palace confirmed the pairing with a statement, saying the prince was worried for her safety.
Soon after, Harry and Meghan - who is four years his senior - were spotted hand-in-hand for the first time, while out on a date in London.
At the time, pals said actress Meghan had “virtually moved in” to Harry’s cottage at Kensington Palace with the couple having been “inseparable” for weeks.
If Harry and Meghan do tie the knot, the American actress will be given a royal title by the Queen, but according to Royal expert Imogen Lloyd Webber, she would not immediately become Princess Meghan because you can’t become royal through marriage.
The Invictus Games are a passion project for Prince Harry, who spoke at the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research forum,
He said: "For the competitors, we know that the journey to the Invictus Games is often not an easy one.
"We are dangling a carrot of sporting glory to help reignite qualities which have been worn down by months and often years of fighting - fighting to find purpose, fighting to reconnect with family, fighting to get fit again, fighting to leave the house and in some cases fighting to stay alive.
"Sport of course is not the only answer, but it is a hugely powerful tool."
Harry went on to say: "Competitors, friends and their families told us that the Games were not only changing lives, but saving lives."
