SICK COMPO BID

Lee Rigby’s hateful extremist killer Michael Adebolajo demands £25,000 compensation for ‘affront to his dignity’

THE killer of soldier Lee Rigby is suing the government for £25,000 because his treatment in jail has been a "gross affront to his personal dignity", court papers have revealed.

Adebolajo and accomplice Michael Adebowale murdered Fusilier Lee, 25, near his barracks in Woolwich, South East London in 2013.

They mowed him down in a car before hacking him to death with knives and a cleaver.

Adebolajo was sent to Belmarsh prison where he lashed out at five guards before hitting his head on a window.

The officers were cleared by a six-week police investigation, but the fanatic is demanding compensation claiming the assault caused him his "distress, loss and damage".

The Mirror reports court documents say his alleged  "psychiatric injury" was made worse because officials "continue to fail to apologise".

Lee’s father, Phil McClure, 57, told the Mirror: "He never apologised for what he did to my son and now he wants an apology from the Prison Service? It’s scandalous."

The paper reported court papers say Adebolajo posed an “extreme risk” to prison officers and would become fixated on female staff.

The case is expected to go to trial and could cost £100,000.

Adebolajo is now in HMP Frankland in County Durham and has been described as “violent, unpredictable and a major danger to other prisoners.”

Prison sources say the ISIS-inspired killer has radicalised dozens of other inmates at HMP Frankland.

An official said:  “Adebolajo spends most of his waking hours preaching his distorted form of Islam to anyone who will listen.

“He sees every inmate as a potential Islamic State soldier whether they are Muslims or not.

“He has a big personality and is very charismatic and some of the more vulnerable prisoners will fall under his spell. He is a very dangerous individual.”
