DOCTOR DEATH

Doc ‘murdered her two toddlers with a scalpel to spite estranged husband before trying to kill herself’

Doctor and single mum Nadia Gisella Fucilieri, from Argentina, is alleged to have walked into her children’s bedrooms and sliced them to death as they slept.

A DOCTOR has been arrested and accused of murdering her two toddlers with a SCALPEL before turning the blade on herself in a failed suicide attempt.

The double-killing took place in a house in San Miguel de Tucuman, in the north-western Argentine province of Tucuman, where neighbours are still grappling with the chilling details of the horrific event.

According to cops, doctor and 29-year-old single mother of two Nadia Gisella Fucilieri walked into her children’s bedrooms and sliced them to death with the scalpel as they slept before attempting to take her own life.

The victims were identified as Pia del Rosario Martinez, two, and her brother, Marceliano Martinez, four.

Fucilieri was a doctor in a hospital in Tucumano and was hospitalised following the cuts that occurred when she tried to kill herself after allegedly committing the double murder.

One anonymous local said: "We did not know her, but apparently she was separated from her husband and was having a bad time. We still cannot believe it."

The motivation behind the killings is still uncertain but one line of inquiry is that it may have been a revenge killing to get back at the children’s father, reported.

After being discharged from the Hospital Centro de Salud in Tucuman and being detained by police, Fucilieri was transferred to the city’s Padilla Hospital to be examined by a psychiatrist.

The severity of her injuries was not reported.

The father of the children has not yet been identified or come forward with a statement.
