A MASSIVE erotica trade fair kicked off in Berlin today with thousands of horny punters streaming through its doors to see the latest designs in sex dolls, bedroom toys and porn.

The annual Venus International Erotic Trade Fair is a calendar highlight of the porn industry and even has a ";show arena" where live performances are held.

It also features a business section and a trade section where porn stars do meet-and-greets and sign autographs for fans.

Photographs taken at the event today show huge queues winding down the street outside the venue.

In the business section, rows of sex toys fill the stands, while in the "show arena" performers wearing leather dance onstage.

Silicon sex dolls are placed on sofas, while punters can be seen trying on futuristic virtual reality porn headsets.

Last year's event saw more than 20,000 people go through the doors and it featured about 400 exhibitions, shops and fetish performances, reported.

The event was formed in 1997 and is where the famous Venus Awards are dished out.

Dubbed the "Porn Oscars", the judges hand out gongs to the performers, directors and productions deemed to be the best of the adult industry for that year. This year's event runs from today until Sunday.
