Never-before-seen family photo shows White Widow Sally Jones and son JoJo enjoying last British Christmas
Just ten months later, Jones fled with JoJo to Syria after being brainwashed online by Islamic State fanatic Junaid Hussain
MUM Sally Jones and son JoJo sit down for a typical family Christmas dinner in a never-seen-before snap from 2012.
The White Widow and her son, then only just eight, smile as they eat at the table surrounded by relatives in Kent.
Ten months later, she fled with JoJo to Syria after being brainwashed online by Islamic State fanatic Junaid Hussain.
Older son Jonathan Wilkinson, 21, sent messages to her and his brother on Facebook.
Jones, 50, kept in contact on Skype, but family feared the worst when her calls stopped in June, the month she was wiped out by a US drone.
A source said: “They wanted to hear from her. At the end of the day they are family.
“No-one told them Sally had been killed — although they had their suspicions.
“They have mixed feelings over her but they are distraught over JoJo, devastated.”
WHITE WIDOW Who was Sally Jones, ISIS recruiter in Syria who’s been killed in a US drone strike?
Tonight we revealed Jones was killed while plotting further carnage with ISIS chiefs, and not while fleeing Syria as had previously been believed.
Her ex-boyfriend - believed to be JoJo's father - said: "I'm f***ing glad she's dead" following the news.
Meanwhile, the brother of one of Jones’ recruits last night told ITV News: “I hope she rots in Hell.”
The man, whose sister left for Syria after being radicalised online, said: “Jones was an evil woman.”
