Ed Sheeran ‘breaks arm after knocked off his bike by a car in London’

ED Sheeran was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in London while riding his bike.

The singer confirmed he'd had a "bit of a bicycle accident" on his Instagram as reports suggested he had broken his arm.

Ed posted a photo on Instagram of his right arm, which he uses to play guitar, in a plaster cast.

His left shoulder also been strapped in a sling.

He said: "Ive had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x".

The singer-songwriter, 26, is due to kick off a tour in Asia on October 22 in Taipei before moving on to Osaka, Seoul in South Korea, Tokyo in Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore.

He is then meant to travel to Malaysia and Thailand in mid-November before performing his last gigs of the year on November 19 in Mumbai and November 23 in Dubai.
